On the news today, Sarah categorically DENIES that any GOP lawyers are coming to Alaska to retrieve the $150,000 wardrobe. "That's false" she says.
Reply
Obviously the lawyers and the GOP are lying while Little Sarah Sunshine speaks the truth - like she always does ! Hee, hee, hee.
She said that nobody was going to her house to go through her closet - the clothes were packed in the belly of the airplane.
Maybe she'll donate them to the country of Africa, gosh darnit.

McCain aides complained that Mrs Palin refused to be coached before TV interviews - even after it emerged she wasn't sure about Africa's status in the world.
Republican bosses also complained that Mrs Palin and her family spent even more on new clothes and shoes than previously reported.
One McCain aide described the Palin family shopping spree in some of America's most exclusive department stores as 'Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast.'
Jovial, it may be Star mag stuff, but this isn't the first place i have read or heard this, in fact i heard a lot of this on Fox.
She was a woman who was so full of herself, she thought she had to answer to no one, not even the presidential candidate. Hopefully this will show the republicans that she's not really capable of running her own house let alone a state, or even the small city of Wasilla! Those poor people in Alaska/-

Still I keep suggesting - did McCain REALLY choose her or was she thrust upon him - and if so by whom to "balance" the ticket??
From the get-go I thought that if Obama had nominated Hillary they would NOT have gone for Palin.
Anyway the whole thing was a disaster for conceptual thinking, which was not reality-based.
If you just look at pictures of them together you can see an energetic barrier between them.-

Ever since McCain selected Ms. Pawlin for his running mate, certain people has continously beat her up. Why??? If I were her I would have burned those clothes. And whats with this "Wasilla hillbillies"? I believe that the ones who are slamming her are the jealous type who had a fear that she would make it and show them all up.

Um...She is a joke. She was a pathetic attempt to woo the Christian Right, women voters, and men who would look at her as a sex object. It was a failed attempt to make McCain more appealing to the everyman.
Reply
She deserves no more attention. Let her fall back into obscurity.
And the people of Alaska obviously are intellectually challenged since they are reelecting Ted Stevens who was just convicted of 7 felonies. -

Governor Palin was more than an attack dog during the campaign.
Reply
She encouraged hate and name calling against a man who was
trying to keep the campaign at a level of issues. Sarah made it okay to not only accuse Obama for being a Marxist, but she
exposed her Downs baby to crowds of screaming people which
was a form of abuse since the baby had to endure those
conditions. As a mother, she used her handicapped baby to
gain the compassion from women voters, and her daughter who
should have been in school, was another vehicle. As a parent,
it was ambitiously carless, so the clothes that the RNC
gave Sarah should be sent to a Goodwill shop or a charity
for she didn't deserve to look like a queen, and act like
a dirty politician. It's a shame that such a nice looking
woman acted like a witch hunting and stalking a man who
walked on the side of good, which is a form of justice.-

Um...those weasels are John McCain's staff. Which means that it is most likely coming from McCain himself too. I would be really ticked off if I were him and some imbecile came in and put her political future over mine and lost the election for me.

I think if you poke around enough you'd find that Palin was put on the ticket by the Council for National Policy, a secretive ultra right wing group that has a lot of sway in the RNC. The GOP is ever moving toward far right policies and Palin is the darling of those people. The Republican party has become a group of Evangelical idealoges far removed from their pragmatic minimalists roots.

Yes, the gop had moved to the far right; however, it appears there are some republicans who are now recognizing that isn't going to fly with the majority of voters any longer. All the gop has had is a culture war to get freaks out for the vote. But now we're facing real issues that are finally impacting American lives, and the issues are what will win elections, not BS.

Sooo, the far right extremists will be sent back under their rocks. When we return to good times, they'll be back.

Close your eyes and cover your ears if you don't want to hear the truth. This information is coming DIRECTLY from JOHN MCCAIN's CAMPAIGN, and the story was broken by the network many regard as a Republican megaphone, FOX NEWS.
The level of denial from neocon apologists, such as yourself, is incredible. You even refuse to believe MEMBERS OF YOUR OWN PARTY and newscasters from YOUR OWN REPUBLICAN-FRIENDLY FOX NEWS NETWORK.
LOL.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/07/sarah-...
"As the state governor stepped off a plane in icy Anchorage on Wednesday, she faced fresh allegations over her behaviour on the campaign trail and renewed attacks on her lack of readiness for the White House. MANY OF THE ATTACKS WERE FROM DISGRUNTLED MEMBERS OF JOHN MCCAIN'S CAMPAIGN.
The most piercing allegations concerned Palin's ignorance of foreign affairs - which were depicted to be even more extreme than already thought - and the amount she spent kitting out herself and her family with a TV-friendly wardrobe.
FOX NEWS, A CHANNEL THAT HAD BEEN GENERALLY FLATTERING IN ITS COVERAGE OF THE 'PALIN PHENOMENON,' REPORTED THAT AIDES were astonished when they learned she was unaware that Africa was not a country but a whole continent. She was also said to be unable to name the countries that belong to the North American Free Trade Agreement: the US, Mexico and Canada.
Unnamed McCain advisers, their ire no longer constrained by campaign discipline, complained that the Alaskan governor had been uncooperative with them. The New York Times reported that the McCain circle was angry about her decision to talk directly to someone she thought was French president Nicolas Sarkozy, but was in fact a Canadian radio DJ playing a prank.
"A wealthy donor who had offered to pay was shocked, Newsweek said, when he got the bill from the high-end retailers Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. ONE MCCAIN AIDE characterised the episode to the magazine as 'Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast.'"

What I'd like someone on the right to answer is this........if all these clothes were supposed to "go to charity" like she proclaimed and so many of her supporters echoed, why did she take them home at all? What Wasilla charity was contacted to give these close to when she got home?

Neither right or left but she didn't take them home according to her interview with CNN from from her Governor's office in Anchorage. She said the clothes belong to the RNC and what they did with them is their business and responsibility. The lawyers are not going to Alaska to retrieve clothes but rather are going to interview her to see if she has some knowledge as to where they may be.

This is a false story, the lawyers are going to Alaska for an information gathering trip, not to retrieve clothes. Palin, in an interview with Gary Tuckman of CNN said she doesn't have the clothes - any of them. Palin said they belong to the RNC, not her and has no idea where they are.

Correct, and note it's always "campaign aides said" and never has any of these "aides" come forth, always an anonymous source. Also, this rag mentioned that Palin is not giving interviews. Excuse me, but CNN's Gary Tuchman was there, in her office and did an extensive interview with topics ranging from the clothes to her aledged comments about NAFTA and Africa. This is nothing more than a continued and unwarranted smear campaign.

The American people you speak of ,FUNDED President Elect Obama's campaign, duh!!! The money was freely given by millions,to be used to WIN the campaign, duh. If you were getting your information on the candidates from the media, then you got what you deserved, probably a whole lot of BS. It is each individuals responsibility to become educated on each of the candidates, it is NOT the responsibilty of the press to educate you. Personally, I feel my money was used very effectively by the campaign, I am more than satisfied with my return.

In regards to Sarah Palin, she willingly put, not only herself, but her children out there, as well. This is a woman who put HER Political agenda before the needs of her children. Threw her poor pregnant 17 year old daughter to the slaughter, what kind of woman does that? Why weren't these children in school? Oh,sorry, I forgot, they are home schooled because obviously the educational system in Alaske isn't good enough . Why not? Isn't she the govenor< can't she do something to improve it for all the children of her state? In regards to the whole clothing business, a simple "NO THANK YOU" would've sufficed. If she didn't want them all she had to do is say "NO". Remember, just say no? It works for many things. I think this woman acted in the heat of the moment when accepting the vice-presidential offer from McCain. The momentem of the moment perhaps overwhelmed her rational sensibilities, I don't know, just giving her the benefit of a doubt. Would I want her as my vice president, or president? *ell,no,not at this moment in time and most likely never. I just don't think she's bright enough for the job, sorry. Bottom line though, she set herself up for the backlash, and she sure can dish it out, let's see how well she can take it... God Bless the President Elect, and God Bless America!!!!!

I realize there are many people that think Sara is a cutie. But I have to agree, what loving mother uses her down syndrome child for her campaign and how come you never see HER holding the baby. AND how come she is so proud of her 17 year old daughter being pregnant. Can you imagine how the children feel being so exposed with all their dirty laundry. If she doesn't care enough to protect her children from the media then how much does she care about our country. AND excuse me, when does a VP candidate give a concession speech?????

The best thing for her to have done IS to present her family, pregnant daughter and all, to the open public. Can you even imagine if she had attempted to hide anything? I think she should be applauded instead of demonized. And, by the way, there are many photos of her holding "Trigg", try Googling before posting.
Reply
She didn't give a concession speech that I know of unless she spoke to her campaign crew as well as her office people when she returned to Anchorage, which was aired on CNN.

She got bit alright, by the very campaign aides she trusted, who by the way, remain anonymous. She doesn't deserve to be crucified by false rumors and innuendo especially when it's reported by the drive-by-media. Shame on everyone involved.

Are you kidding me? And we wonder why America is so lost. Good grief. You think for one minute that Obama and them did not get new clothes. Of course they did. Everyone did, you can bet on that. Think of the room service that they got in the hotel rooms they stayed in. Just no one reports that stuff. OH no it would be racist. Get with the program, whether you liked her or not, she will be a factor in the future. I would rather see her than Hillary since that one lady that is only for herself. We need a pitbull in the White House to clean up the messes that those hungry men have made. Oh and one more thing, who came in to power two years ago, Mrs Pelosi. Oh boy she has made a difference. That woman is a joke and was the beginning of the demise of our economy. People you need to not only read the papers and listen to media news channels that favor Democrats, do research and read it all. They new about 10 years ago the economy was going to do this and THEY were warned. NO ONE LISTENED. Remember, Bush cannot say jump and everyone jumps, that is why there is a Congress and Senate. No one is totally in control. Too many hungy people out there to not let that happen for sure.

Whether our candidate won or not, it is time for Americans to do what they were intended to do. Support one another and continue to make this country the great country that so many people think it is. We have to support America, we are all it has, unless you are willing to give it up to those people who want it so they can control it. Remember 911 brought us together, let us not let that be the only way we do it again.
