My Stratus just hit 287k miles and is still going strong with all accessories working fine and an AC that gives me brain freeze in the middle of a Georgia summer. I have absolutely no reason to replace it other than that I'm tired of it. But if Detriot gets my tax money, they won't see another dime of mine. I refuse to subsidize idiotic union contracts. Our other family vehicle is a Toyota Sequoia. Nothing but oil changes and a rear hatch mechanism at 113k miles. We would have no problem at all switching to Toyota, Honda, or Nissan for our next sedan purchase. The only thing that distinguishes a domestic vs. foreign vehicle these days is where the financials are certified. All vehicles sold in the US have both domestic and foreign content, and all brands employee tens of thousands of Americans.-

Yes I'm aware of that, guys. I rejected a Saturn Vue because it is made in Mexico, considered a Torrent although it's made in Canada (but I wouldn't have taken it with the Mexican engine), and ultimately settled on the GM-Toyota Vibe built in California. I know Toyota and Honda have some assembly plants in the US, but I thought Korean makes like Hyundai or Kia were built and shipped from "over there."
