prohibit his off-duty deputies from carrying their guns while
drinking because several have been accused in recent years of

Personally I think he's a little idealistic, but I admire his good common sense, and scruples. I wish the sheriff lots of luck! Stay tuned for some serious suspensions, and or terminations of deputies who will most likely be caught in violation in this venture out of spite.
