I disagree, I don't have time to go through a whole newspaper or wait until the news comes on at 6. I can read the blogs and articles faster and get the inside scoup and even reply my thoughts. The internet is a wonderful resource of info and source for people to outreach and connect.

this is the dumbest bull**** I've heard. The internet is not a physical addiction, its a choice. Its like saying watching TV is a physical addiction. They only reason their saying this is they want their citizens to stop using the net, because they want to isolate them from world because they are an evil, tolatarian regime and they know that. And they already try and block their citizens from accessing many websites, thankfully there are proxies. They couldnt defeat the proxies now they resort to phsycological warfare.

These Chinese are so messed up in the head. They condone killing 5 year old girls but it is illegal to surf the net. -

I work in an internet company, and I’m online minimum of 8 hrs. Does that mean addiction to a lot of professionals? Maybe not. For a child, that’s a different story. That means less time playing outside with friends, less time doing kids stuff. It does take away ones childhood.

I recommend that parents try to find good parental control software that helps monitor how much time they spend. I’m so happy with my Ez Internet Timer http://www.internettimer.net
It helps me stop all son’s on-line activity and block Internet browsers, e-mails, ftps or messengers according to my daily schedule.
