So the good bacteria that you have in your intestines get killed as well, and that's bad for you. It gets worse the more you use antibiotics, the more you build up a resistance to them, so they quit working. And not only do they quit working as well on your UTI's, but if you were unlucky enough to get a nasty cut and needed to prevent infection, you might suffer quite a bit.
