I am not necessarily in the pocket of complete legalization of drugs. I do think that if someone wants to ingest marijuana in the privacy of their own home should be able to. It is a drug that is in the same realm as alcohol and should be under the same rules and regulations.

My principle problem with the war on drugs is the expense vs. the return. At the current level, I see no real justification to its existence. We need to find a new way to deal with drugs because this way isn't working.
Is the demonization of drugs part of the reason to its popularity with certain groups? Quite frankly, I think the simple premise of leading by example can have a positive effect. The great thing about leading by example? It's really, really cheap.

There is a need in this country to vote more upon conviction than on the idea of what is the better of two not so good candidates. We shouldn't be trapped by the idea of only two parties.

When the republicans ended up with the candidate they did, that should have been a sign to conservatives that their party was no longer conservative.
I wrote in Ron Paul for my presidential choice. Was I wasting my vote? I do not feel so. I believed I voted for the best possible choice for this country.
