Thousands of Demonstrators March Miles in Chicago’s Prop 8 Protest »
Posted By Disembedded 1 year, 1 month ago in NewsThousands of Proposition 8 protesters marched miles through the streets to a large demonstration in downtown Chicago today, to support and pressure the courts to overturn the passage of a same-sex marriage ban in California. The Chicago rally was one of at least 150 protests that took place nationwide after the vote on Proposition 8 in California.
After a few hours at Chicago's Federal Plaza, the demonstrators left and marched through the streets, among police on bicycle and horseback, to City Hall, The Thompson Center and ultimately down Michigan Avenue.
