I solved this problem. All my clothes are black. Well, except for my boxer shorts...

Every clothing piece I own is half white and half black. Is that still called segregation?

Well I have a white T-Shirt with the American Flag that says "These Colors Don't Run."

I have to wash them together they came that way. LOL

Once when I was younger and driving a truck for a living, I washed a brand new red t-shirt with all my white socks, underwear, t-shirts... You guessed it. Everything came out pink. LMAO hahahahaaaaaaa

I knew better, but I was distracted by a red haired beauty.

She still went out with me, pink t-shirt and all.

Man did I take a lot of grief over that, got in a few fights over that one.

Of course the pink t-shirt caused me some trouble as well. LOL

    Good one ind06

I think that there are really only two colors -- "sort of light" and "sort of dark".

From a historical standpoint, separating colors dates from the time when fabrics, fabric treatments, and dyeing techniques were less sophisticated than today. Don't think you'd want to put a red shirt from the 1950's with white stuff; that's less of a problem with today's stuff. But don't try it at home, saying "Chevy told me."

    Greyfriar boxers, sir?
My boxers, sir, if you MUST know, sir, are all the colors of the rainbow and more, sir. Many, like the one with the dancing polar bears, were bought on the spur of the moment and represent the only pair in the shop, sir!
I'll brook none of your chuckling behind your hand, sir!

I blame my wife for the segregation of clothing for the washer. If it was up to me, and it isn't, I'd put everything in the washer all at once. But the dryer is intergrated. You just have to adjust the spinning and heat to accomodate the lowest common denominator.

did anyone make the joke yet about the way to combat textile segregation and prejudice being to intermingle the threaded races in a big detergent-as-lube washing-machine doggy-pile until we can't tell the difference?

Racism is truly a fabricated issue

Some subjects are not well suited for satire. Like joking about the holocaust, for example. The struggle for civil rights involved great courage by people whose only defense was their dignity, moral clarity, and the strength they found in their growing numbers as they marched peacefully and braved dogs, batons, and water cannons. To make light of this with such campy humor just seems a little inappropriate. Try to imagine being surrounded by people who regard you as second class citizens and knowing that you could be subjected to violence or humiliation at any time with little or no recourse. Imagine carrying that kind of stigma or burden for most of your life. Humor always treads a fine line and I suppose that we could make a case for many other jokes being offensive to some one. Its never easy to sort out these issues but my gut tells me this one is not right.
