I solved this problem. All my clothes are black. Well, except for my boxer shorts...

You know, some people are not going to have a sense of humor about this. More is the pity for them.

I'm still convinced that we'll know when racism is over when a white comedian can drop an n-bomb at the Apollo in a derogatory (yet funny) way and everyone laughs.

As for me, there are two colors. Whites and everything else. My wife disagrees.

I for one am uneasy with jokes about races and skin colors, civil rights and such.

Fake humour is where the racists fled, when they didn't feel quite safe
        saying what they believed,

But we need to be able to joke about the things that are important to us.

So I will allow it just this once.

I agree. Humor is fine, but I do not like the inclusion of Rosa Parks in this writing.

With the exception of you boxer shorts (I can't believe I said that), are most of your clothes light black or dark black?

Tighty whiteys are frowned upon in monastic life.

You would have to go back to 1018 and the founding of the Buckfast Abbey by Earl Aylward under the reign of King Cnut to find out why the wearing of tighty whiteys were forbidden.

I think it had something to do with the Gregorian Chants that the monks would sing. Since there were no metronomes back then he only timing mechanism that the monks had was the “pendulum” that God gave them, which would have been restricted by the wearing of “tighty whiteys”.

I hope you have found this useful traveler2000.

                          Dear Uncle-Dave,

That's why we have "uncles" for: to get the answers we can't get from our parents:

Your explanation was very educating and useful (and "visual"......) indeed.

Thank you so much, whenever I have another "existential" question I will come to you.....

                **...light black or dark black...***

Very good point I must say, indeed.
You forgot however also to ask: shiny or not shiny black....... (it does make a difference)
                Could you "clarify"???

Well that depends on whether Mephistopheles prefers the soft cool comfort of cotton or the convenience of carefree wash and wear polyester.
