I am not remotely a libertarian;
Reply
but I found the article to be reasonable and insightful,
- though as I write it is not even certain that Ms. Clinton will become Sec of State.
I assumed Hillary was deliberately being pro-war during the last 4 years, to center herself for the presidency
- I think she is flexible enough to create, with Obama, a foreign policy that allows the US to focus its resources inwards.
(ie: getting out of the messopotamian occupation business).-

If I was not fooled by the lies of the Bush admin (even put into the honest mouth of Colin Powell) I sure as heck don't think someone as smart and experienced as Hillary Clinton would be fooled.

Of course, I could be doing her a discourtesy of assuming she compromised; she may have actualy been expressing her real position.-

You weren't told what the Senate and House members were told. They were given top secret briefings filled with lies manufactured by David Addington and Dick Cheney's office. They were told that Saddam had direct ties with Bin Laden, that he not only had developed nuclear weapons but had briefcase nukes and was preparing to arm al Qaeda with same.

I believe engineer is right. I will be disappointed and astonished if Obama continues to pursue the American Caesar policies of Bush. I trust Obama is smarter than that.

The Clinton's are a product of the zionist "Democratic Leadership Council". Hillary as Secretary of State would be the israel-firster way of guaranteeing that zionists retain control of our mideast foreign policy. That Obama will sell out America to those interests has been apparent for a long time now.

The DLC and Israel
Zionist Democrats
.... To coincide with Olmert's visit, the Democratic Leadership Council published a statement celebrating "Zionism" and condemning Islam. If their publication had not come from a man who purports to be a leader of the political opposition to the deeply unpopular right-wing Republican regime one might be inclined to surmise that it had been issued by the so-called Israel Lobby....
... Worse still, there is a frontal assault on the United Nations. The DLC is blatantly adopting the policies of the neocons populating the right-wing think tanks in Washington that produce such human anomalies as John Bolton, Richard Perle and Daniel Pipes, all rabidly Zionist neoconservatives who advocate a much more aggressive US military agenda aimed directly at Islamic nations and peoples everywhere.
It is obvious that the DLC offers not a dime's worth of difference from the right-wing neoconservatives in the Bush White House. In defining America's foreign policy objectives solely by its commitment to eradicate Islamist terror, the DLC and its Zionist collaborators would commit America to an endless cycle of war and terror, repression and suicide bombings ad nauseum and ad infinitum all predicated on Islamophobia....
... While the Zionist ideals of the DLC will appeal to a narrowly limited band of followers, progressive Democrats who are seriously committed to regime change in Washington should oppose the DLC with all their might.

The Lobby has spoken - Obama's VP pick right for Israel »

It's hard for the average American to believe that Israeli interests could have such influence on a presidential election. Israeli propaganda does an outstandingly good job of diffusing any meaningful debate on the Middle East or Israel's role in shaping our foreign policies. Whether by defaming Jimmy Carter for daring to speak out or by censoring or ignoring important scholastic books such as "The Israel Lobby" by Professors Walt and Mearsheimer, Americans are kept ignorant of just how important it is to please Israel in order to have a real chance at occupying an elected post in Washington. Every politician, newsman, and pundit knows that you cannot be elected in Washington without the blessing of the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC), known simply as "The Lobby" in Washington.
Mr. Biden, the self-proclaimed Zionist, assuages Israeli and Jewish American fears that Mr. Obama might not be so accommodating to Israel.

Hopefully Obama will not be absent when it comes to making foreign policy. We must stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries! I did not vote for obama but I think he will be much better in foreign affairs than people think.
