No way, No how, No Brennan »
Posted By tehranchik 7 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsMarc reports the Republican, former chief-of-staff for George Tenet (who authorized war crimes as CIA head), admirer of Dick Cheney, CEO of the company one of whose contract employees improperly accessed Obama's and McCain's passports, and defender of renditions and ' enhanced interrogations' is still Obama's front-runner pick to head the CIA. No, I'm not making this up. Brennan was high up in the agency during the run-up to the Iraq war and has since conceded this about the intelligence he was in part responsible for:

I'd be very disappointed in Obama if Brennan is chosen. You don't hire a fox to guard the chicken coop.

George Tenet was appointed to the chief-of-staff position by BILLY CLINTON.
There's a very good chance that George Tenet deliberately gave bush false information so to undermine and trip up the Bush administration....
Yes, it's another conspiracy theory, led by a democrat... Just like Barney Frank and his LIES that Fanny and Freddie are doing fine and everyone should be delighted with their stock in those institutions. Barney LIED...WHY would he lie about something like that????? I'll tell ya why.
The dems knew if they could ruin the economy during the elections, then Obama would win for sure. That's it in a nutshell!-

You might be on to something, except the small problem of Bush and Cheney wanting to attack Iraq on 9-12-2001. The desire to attack Iraq existed long before Tenet was in the position to fabricate such a scenario. You have the cart way in front of the horse.

I really enjoy how you portray Frank as the most powerful man in the economic world. Just a few months ago, everyone in congress was a do nothing.
Is Frank partially to blame? Sure, he is. Along with 534 other members of congress and a white house full political incompetents. To suggest it is one persons doing is naive and overly simplistic. It also smacks of rabble rousing talk show entertainer banter. It is also the risk that comes along with deregulation.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
There will be small changes, but there will not be the revolution in thought, policies, and processes that some hoped for in this past election.
