You might be on to something, except the small problem of Bush and Cheney wanting to attack Iraq on 9-12-2001. The desire to attack Iraq existed long before Tenet was in the position to fabricate such a scenario. You have the cart way in front of the horse.

I really enjoy how you portray Frank as the most powerful man in the economic world. Just a few months ago, everyone in congress was a do nothing.

Is Frank partially to blame? Sure, he is. Along with 534 other members of congress and a white house full political incompetents. To suggest it is one persons doing is naive and overly simplistic. It also smacks of rabble rousing talk show entertainer banter. It is also the risk that comes along with deregulation.

    Please provide empirical evidence that states that one person who is an elected representative of one state, is in charge of the entire federal oversight of the F's.
    
    So, who was watching from 1995-2006? Clue, it wasn't Barney.
    
    There is ample evidence through Richard Clarke. Yes, he was there. Powell pushed back on Bush and Cheney that to attack Iraq, when there was factual evidence concerning Al Qaeda and OBL behind the attacks, would destroy world opinion and empathy toward the US. Bush and Cheney finally conceded the point to the degree that Afghanistan would need to be first before they decided to pursue other points of interest. We have historic evidence on the success of that.
    
    There is plenty of info on this. Had you at least looked into it prior to your response, it would make you look less like you were hoping and praying that I would be like your fellow talk show entertainer disciples and explicitly believe whatever comes through the magic box.
