This is why I will never call a nation my enemy. A regime, yes perhaps. But not the whole of a nations people.

We must not consider the Iranian people our enemies. If we play our cards right they could become great allies.

The Iranians or a good people who are enduring a lousy regime. I only regret that when the Iranian college students were protesting against the conduct and rule of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, our current administration with its complicit supporters failed to show support and praise for these courageous young men and women.

We made Iran into the mess that it is. We backed a tyrant. The people rose up and disposed him. Than instead of offering assistance to the persecuted, our brilliant President Jimmy Carter allowed the tyrant asylum here. Thats what caused the downward spin, and ultimate blame the US has taken for it from the muslim world. Iran has on the other hand had to struggle thru several different regimes. We could have helped them 30 years ago, and if we had the middle east would be an entirely different place.

I agree with all the comments. There are significant internal problems in the country and left alone, this present regime will deteriorate and will be replaced with a more moderate regime.

What a lot of people do not realize is that Ahmadinejad does not have a seat in parlament. He has no more say in the Iranian government than I do. He is completely irrelevant.
