Drug samples were a gift from god for me. I was put on a VERY expensive inhaler that insurance refused to cover for quite some time. My doctor managed to find a few samples in a drawer somewhere to give to me.

What bothers me more than samples are commercials and advertisements for drugs. They cause quite a few people to ask for/demand things they wouldn't otherwise and it seems to kind of undermine the opinion of the doctor.
