Now as far as "distribute the wealth among the people who need to keep a roof over their heads" Are you saying that a roof over your head is now someone else's responsibility. What I read is that you feel if someone enters into an agreement to borrow money to purchase a house and defaults that the government should confiscate money from someone else to pay for it?
A person enters into a legal contract. Breaks the conditions of the legal contract. So the Government illegally confiscates money from someone else and gives it to the person who defaulted on their agreement? How is that right(ious)?

I would like to take this opportunity to THANK DEMOCRAT BARNEY FRANK for his lies and deception over the state of Fannie and Freddie. Just a few weeks before Fannie and Freddie went down, Barney Frank went public with an announcement to ease everyone's minds that Fannie and Freddie are doing great. Barney told us that we have no worries and that Fannie and Freddie were doing just fine and those institutions are a very good and solid investment. Then just a few weeks later, both of them went tits up!
Reply
Thanks Barney, thanks for letting us all down with your LIES...By the way, I'm still scratching my head as to WHY you LIED about this. Obviously, this lie of your was intentional. WHY????
Democrat Barney Frank was appointed to be the watchful eye over Fannie and Freddie. Investors now hove lost billions of $s in their retirement investments. There were red flags being sent up about the state of Fannie and Freddie. If Barney Frank would have told the truth about Fannie and Freddie, then those investors would have bailed out before those stocks fell apart. SO, all those people who owned that stock can thank DEMOCRAT Barney Frank for ruining their lives.
Barney should be placed in prison for a very long time for this. But since Barney is a Democrat and on top of that, he's GAY. So Barney will surly get a pass on it. That's OK, it's OK if one person is allowed to ruin the livelihood of millions of innocent people!
Something about this STINKS to HIGH HEAVEN. Does anyone here have an explanation to why Barney lied to us about this? There's some reason he deliberately lied, any ideas????
Corruption and Greed in the highest places is going to ruin our country. Isn't it time something is done before it's to late for us? I fear it's already to late....-

We did not leave. It is just you republicans are too stupid to debate. Always wrong ,always accusing democrats of lying, cheating or whatever, when everybody knows it is both democrats and republicans who are causing this disaster.. But you republicans only want to blame the democrats. It was the republicans who were in charge when this mess occured. But to you republicans it is always the democrats fault no matter who was in charge. Try being intelligent with your posts or stop posting your stupid comments.

Today the stock market lost almost seven hundred points. Why because our generous government is wanting to give us another stimulus payment, bail out car manufacturers and what else? I have said this before bail outs are a bad economical move. Keep stuffing medication into a dying idea is a waste of time. Let it die and regenerate itself within its own ranks. Let it heal itself, it will if given time.

Actually, the stock market fell by nearly 700 points, because the government finally admitted that the U.S. has been in a recession for more than a year and I guess the traders were completely taken by surprise. As if we needed verification from the government. ROFLMAO!!!

Hey Stalemate,

I compare the action of these bailouts as this....They are "whipping a dead horse"
No matter how hard they whip it, it ain't going to get up. Well, it might get up for a little while BUT, it will be kinda like that movie (Weekend At Bernie's ) If you've seen that movie then you'd know what I mean when I compare the two! -

They say $750 Billion would give every mortgage paying person in the USA a $25,000 check. Then they could spend that money on mortgages, in turn that would stimulate the economy back from death! BUT seems there's no way we little people would be handed a $25,000 check. Only the big guys at the top can have that money so they can squander it away...we're doomed to fail.

Yippe ding they toss the people a bone. The big boys at the top could keep hundreds in their homes for good, just by taking a cut in bonus and salary. or maybe even selling one of their many million dollar homes that sit empty most of the year.

What's this? A shred of human decency? I'm sorry. We can't have this. Let them all rot. Now let's go back to stampeding people to death at Wal*Mart.
