The Food and Drug Administration said Friday that it will allow trace amounts of melamine in infant formula. Earlier this week, the agency said it found the industrial chemical in at least one brand of formula sold in the U.S.

    IMO, no amounts of industrial chemicals should be allowed in baby formulas.

    So since they can't force companies to get it out of there, they are just going to say it's OK? How horrible.

      I agree with SenorCoconut. No amount of Melamine should be allowed in baby formulas.

        It's high time for people in this country to start boycotting these companies
        It's obvious that these companies are importing some ingredients from China
        When are consumers going to learn that they have the power regardless of what the government says
        If the companies start to lose money they will change their business practices
        How many parents are still buying toys made in China even though there has been report after report of lead in the paint?

        Have you looked at the FDA website to see the number of items - food and other products - they have refused?
        Nothing has changed.
        Keep in mind that they only look at and test a small number of products compared to what is imported
        It is frightening
