Former Assembly speaker's son charged with murder
Posted By ap 1 year ago in NewsSAN DIEGO (AP) _ The San Diego County district attorney's office says the 19-year-old son of former California Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a college student.
Spokesman Paul Levikow says Esteban Nunez and three others have each been charged with one count of murder, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor count of vandalism.
If convicted of murder, they face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
All four men are scheduled to be arraigned in San Diego Thursday. Levikow says the charges were filed Monday. The men were arrested Tuesday in the Sacramento area.
