Posted By jyotsna 1 year ago in Arts & EntertainmentThis year contenders for 51st Grammy Award are my favorite cold play with 7 Grammy Awards nomination and Lil Wayne nominated for 8 Grammy Awards. Other top nominees are Kanye West, Ne-Yo and Jay-Z each with 6 nominations. It will surely be night of rappers.
Grammy is the biggest award for music but it is not making sense as the awards are given by some so called music industry professionals. I think awards like Video Music Award and American Music Awards are making more sense than Grammy. Otherwise never heard and never seen singer like Norah Jones would not be winning all 5 major Grammy at one single year. And not to forget our very own crack addict Amy Winehouse won 5 major Grammy awards which is slap on the face to artist who works really very hard for one single album.
The Grammy nomination event was co-hosted by Taylor Swift and LL cool J at Nokia Theater L.A on Dec. 3rd. The show was aired on CBS with performances by Christina Aguilera, Celien Dion, Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters and John Mayer.
The live broadcast of 51st Grammy Award will be on CBS on February 8th from L.A. staple centre.
