Well, we talked about anti-semitism. Can we now talk about racism of another type? It seems that a lot of people didn't like the idea about there being a black President. They have labeled him everything from a communist to an AlQaeda mole. What are the chances that there will be a real threat to the life of this President while he is in office, or even before he gets there? Many people I've heard here on propeller feel the same way as the guy on this video. Could there be some connection?

Isn't it strange that a government with all the power it has at their disposal "IF THEY WANTED TO " get rid of ALL these white supremest groups ,kkk etc. These organization have all been infiltrated ,so they know who is who and where they are . Your government dismantled the Black Panther party without hesitation. Why not these other,or could it be that they are WHITE? We in Europe, in my country pray for the safety of your President and his FAMILY " GOD BLESS AMERICA HE PROTECT Barack OBAMA

I think that this is focussed too narrowly. The US has a history of 400 years of racism which will not disappear easily. The "skinhead" groups are not the real problem - the oligarchs and propagandists that support the racism for their own power and profit are our real enemies.

A Nation of Colonists and Race Laws
You hear it everywhere. Even from Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, author of the vicious anti-migrant legislation that has polarized the US. “We are a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws,” he says.
And like almost everyone else, he’s got it wrong.
The original Europeans in the Americas were not immigrants, but colonists. And the US is not a nation of immigrants - it is a white colonial settler state, like South Africa under Apartheid, the former Rhodesia, Australia and Israel.
And like those states the US has always operated on a sometimes hidden, sometimes overt system of Apartheid.
Like those places, the US is a nation of colonists – and race laws.
It is just another place where white colonists arrived, seized the land, and dispossessed, exterminated or attempted to exclude the original “non-white” peoples – all of them.
They did so at the point of a gun - by open terror and genocide, which was the precursor and the necessary pre-condition of European immigration. And, of course, they didn’t only use guns and overt terror. Where “necessary,” they operated by “law.”
Let me prove the point. It’s simple. We all know the facts.
In the US, Native Americans were dispossessed, subjected to mass murder, and locked on separate, Apartheid-style “reservations.” So it stands today.
Africans were enslaved, and once “freed,” they were subjected first to Jim Crow, then, when that proved no longer possible, Jim Crow was transformed into joblessness, the mass terror of mass incarceration and permanent Apartheid-style ghetto-ization. So it stands today.
The Indian nation of Mexico was conquered in a racist war of aggression by the US in 1848. The only debate in the days of “Manifest Destiny” was not whether to seize Mexican land, only how much of it to seize, and what to do to keep the Mexicans out of what had been stolen.
Two choices were before them. Take the whole nation and lock the people on reservations, or take as much land – with as few Mexicans – as possible. Thus the border was established through war, through brute and overtly racist violence. The border is an Apartheid Wall. So it stands today. -

it doesn't have to be a supremacist to do the job.Security may just allow it to happen after being given the nod from the powers that be. It could be another contrived situation like when Bobby Kennedy was assassinated. Sirhan Sirhan was always in the front with no entry wounds from his direction but bullets hit Kennedy behind the right ear and under his right armpit.

There are still some today who think President Kennedy was set up by the extreme right wingers in the SS.
I still believe the fatal shot came from the grassy knoll, hard to blow off the back of a mans head from behind.
Entry wounds clean exit wounds catastrophic.
Besides it is the directors who make the calls about which agents to assign.

Keep in mind, there are nuts out there, Who would think someone would want to kill John Lennon, but they did. Some of these nuts just want to leave their mark before they leave. Some believe they will get their reward in heaven. I don't want to wish any ill on this man, but almost every president has been shot at. The SS will have a real tough job protecting him.

Let me tell you a crazy story. When Reagan was president, I heard he was coming to my city. As I was driving from a business meeting near the airport, I saw the Marine helicopters that always accompany his visit. I heard on the radio that Reagan would be landing at a business airport nearby. So I thought "why not go see him?" I drove in, parked my car, got out and walked directly through the terminal and up to a checkpoint where they were searching people that would be allowed to go on the tarmac. I just walked right past them! I went to a roped off area and a secret service agent said "you can't come in here". So I went and leaned against the front of a hangar. Mind you, I was only about 100' from where Air Force 1 would pull up. After a short time, all the black SUV's pulled up and backed up right in front of me. Secret service agents got out, put on their vests and gathered their weapons. They just ignored me. I was dressed in a black suit and black tie. Maybe they thought I was one of them. I don't know. After they all took up their positions on the roof, etc., another plain clothed agent came up to me and said "what are you doing here?" I replied "I'm just a citizen and I came to see the President." I fully expected him to at the very least escort me off the premises but no, he said "Go over to the roped off area, you will get a better view!!!" He used his radio to call the agent at the roped off area and said he was sending me over and let me in. I WAS INCREDULOUS! I went to the roped off area, made my way to the front of the area. When Reagan stepped off the plane, he walked within 6 feet of me and even shook my hand!
Reply
NOW! Just how well does the Secret Service protect the President? I was never challenged, never searched, I could have had a weapon. Fortunately, I'm not a killer or a radical, etc. I didn't even like Reagan but man, what lax security.
THIS IS A TRUE STORY. I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT MYSELF!

Much of the hateful rhetoric that I see on the web and on this site by some members right here indicates to me that Barack Obama needs all our support and the best security ever provided for any leader before in our history -- a history fraught with too much bloodshed to ever feel our President's security force is something that we can rely upon without feeling trepidation.

I like to know where my enemies are and who they are !!!!
They are complete idiots and those who follow them lack the human sense of compassion for their fellow man.
Their lack of belief in themselves shows in their inability to interact with someone who looks different.
They actually hate themselves more than they hate anyone else. Because if you accept your own shortcomings you have no problem accepting the fact that others are not going to be what you think they should.
Then you are able to see them as humans, capable of the same things as you are.
Never put oneself above or below another and you won't have a problem figuring out how to deal with them. Just deal with them honestly as you would want to be dealt with. -

This is something I've heard from different groups I've talked with. Many are worried that an attempt will be made on Obama. It saddens me that there is still such an undercurrent, within our society, of African-American haters. I know that the White Supremacists are only one of the groups that admit to it, but there are many who agree with them that don't affiliate with these kinds of groups.
Our society needs to evolve and weed these factions out like any other terrorist cell needs to be eliminated, when making their home in the land of the free.
I know these people are supposed to be Americans and enjoy the same freedoms as the rest of us, but I can't help but think that Gitmo could still service a purpose in holding domestic terrorists. Of course, this power would be easily corrupted and used against the innocent just as easily. But...it was a thought.-

Honestly, being within the sphere of people like this, I can tell you that honestly, these "threats" will stop when minorites (mostly the youth) pick up their balls and take responsibility in our country. Also, white supremacists pick on minorites who do not wish to follow our country's codes of honour, life, and general courtesy that we expect. Well, so far the only threat that I see is the threat to our constitution. Obama has yet to prove his citizenship and if he is sworn in in January he will null and void our constitution. Come on, as an employer the government demands that I prove to them that my employees are citizens of the US. Why is Obama being treated differently? Prove citizenship? It's already been proven. Just because it's not to your liking doesn't make it any less legitimate. It's sour grapes and it's borderline racist to even ask. Has there ever been any Presidential candidate challenged on these grounds? Over at stormfront.org the forum that racist groups are flocking to since Obama's election, they talk about this and are raising money to try to get more loonies to testify and file lawsuits. They also portray Obama as a monkey, a stupid negro, and speak of a civil war if Obama get's the delegates on Dec. 15th. Is this the group of people that you want to ally yourself with? If so, then I truly understand where you're coming from. If not educate yourself. Don't listen to fabricated smears and lies, from hate groups.

Hawaii has sealed his birth certificate. The one on the internet was purported to not indicate who the doctor was that delivered Obama and there was some other vital information that was missing. It was incomplete. It didn't stand up to scrutiny so now they sealed it so no one can have access to it, examine it to make the determination as to it's truthfulness. In one report from Kenya, his mother, just prior to delivery was forbidden to board a plane to Hawaii due to the lateness of her pregnancy. Therefore she was forced to have Obama in Kenya and then later went to Hawaii to register his birth. There are still so many unanswered questions surrounding his birth. I just don't understand why people like you are too quick to accept his Hawaiian birth when in fact too many facts say i t isn't so. There are too many witnesses in Kenya that say he was born there. These facts are out there just like the facts on his character and associations. Your denial will cost this country dearly. We still live in a free society in which we can question the authenticity of our elected officials. So, don't insult me by asking if Hawaii is one of our states. I can tell you this, Kenya is not.

Many, Many years ago, in another life, I worked in state corrections as an inmate "counselor" so I had lots of contact with skinheads and other gangs of varying color. You give them too much credit. Most of them are dumber than a sack of rocks (as are most of those incarcerated) and are not intelligent or sophisticated enough to pull off the asssassination of a President. They may want to, they may plan to, they may try to, but they will get caught.

I believe Obama should allow someone official to examine his birth certificate and put all this to rest. I mean, any other employer would demand it especially if company security was at risk and there's plenty of that being president. He is so privy to many top secrets it would do us well to know he can be trusted to keep US secrets and if he does have a dual citizenship that's hardly likely he would preserve the secrecy of classified info. I mean after his first meeting with Bush, in which details were suppose to have been kept between them the topic of their meeting was leaked to the press....hush my mouth but I think Obama's lips could sink ships. He hasn't earned my trust yet either.

The Republican party dogged every Democrat that ever got elected in recent history. From Carter to Clinton. Now it starts again. This time with Obama. My final comment is I hope and pray Obama and his cabinet of Clintonites govern for the betterment of this great nation. And may Obama not have a dual citizenship because that will only cause confusion in how he governs because in most cases both countries demand that the one person obey the laws of both countries he may be citizens of creating a conflict of interest in leading this nation. That is my concern about his not being a citizen of the US. Has nothing to do with color or political affiliation. I want my children's future protected and if he can't do that then I don't want him in. Understand? I hope so because it is for your future that I'm concerned about as well. I haven't been able to find anything definitive regarding whether or not Obama ever was a legal bona fide citizen of Indonesia. Regardless, he never abandoned his US citizenship and clearly does not consider himself to be a dual citizen of anywhere. His Kenyan dual citizenship expired in 1984. I imagine whatever citizenship status he may had had in Indonesia has expired as well. Dual citizenship is something that must be maintained and reaffirmed every so often.
It sounds like you are suggesting Obama has split loyalties that would affect his foreign policy judgment. I see no evidence of that. He seems very attached to his roots in Kenya, but then my ex-wife had an affinity for Ireland, and I'm quite fond of Latvia. -
