Each is back in Washington, hat in hand, hoping for a government loan that could top $35 billion. Here then is a Top 5 list of gimmicky gestures that they've cooked up at the last minute to curry favor with lawmakers and a skeptical public. Only number 3 is made up. Scary.

    I saw a poll on CNN saying that over 60% of Americans are against this bailout of the automakers. Support from Congress don't seem to be much better. It will be interesting to see just how this all works itself out

      I heard that they did travel in Hybrid's down to DC this time, as opposed to taking their private jets. I wonder if they brown bagged their lunch, too?!

        These a-holes are trying to use fear in order for us to pay their debts,the fact is that if we dont give them the money one or more of them will survive and many auto workers will go to the private sector and to the Asian companies, the only thing that will change will be the union and wages.I said it before who can afford to buy a new car today,how can they sustain their market.and the suppliers will stay in business because there are fifty thousand used car dealers with millions of vehicles to sell,it wont hurt the supply sector.I hope congress doesn't fall for this bs !

          No Bail-Out...

          The major problem here is the United Autoworkers UNION....

          These people get benifits that would bankrupt any company...

          Get rid of the Union the auto companies would work out fine...

          The Bail Out Taxpayers Dollars will be controlled by the UNION's, No Way...
