But there is one more key -- yet little-known -- White House post that if filled quickly and effectively could help the new president with the wide array of problems he will face early in his term, according to several men who have held the job for past presidents.
That position is that of presidential science adviser, and four previous science advisers -- those who have served Democrats and Republicans -- urge Obama to pick his science adviser quickly.
