It's not Obama that's so wonderful, but if done right, expanded use of computers in the schools could be.

Not all schools have them, and some that have only a few. Brighthouse in my area gives schools and colledge students a discount, something could be worked out. -

I'm already out of a job, experiencing exactly what you're talking about. He is in there, we have to deal with it. Take the best proposals he's offering, and rise up to defeat the others that we can that will further the socialism started by the previous 20 years. This proposal to computerize the schools could be a precursor to the MANDATED, required, community service for our middle school children. Take the computers, fight the nationalized, forced, community service.

George Orwell had it down when he wrote "1984". Taxpayer money to pay for broadband for everyone...where are the taxpayers going to get the money to pay those taxes? Are they going to televise this creep walking on water or was it filmed with a webcam...and how come the MSM hasn't had it all over the news yet?

This is my opioion, I always agree with him on most everything, but for the children I beleive there well be a cost for that, Children get on line to talk and play games. And we as parents or grandparents can not watch their every move. we are talking about older men pretending to be ther age asking there adresses and so on, our kids think that someone likes them, ther going to give out information where they go to school and live, we just might be losing our kids to those who are child malesters and end up dead.

I agree with your concerns, that is exactly why there should be parental controls, both in person, and the programs available for installation. There are some really good ones out there that can keep children safer online. I do feel that it could be a good thing for students to be able to access school work and classes from home. Parents could even keep an eye on their kids in school.
