Accupuncture is great for pain control. I had terrible neck pain after being rear-ended by a bus. Knocked my car all the way across the intersection.

I went to regular doctors and physical therapists. They put me in what I called the Torquemada torture chair, a device where I was strapped into a chair and had a harness around my head attached to a weight stretching my neck out. None of it helped.
My primary care doctor finally said try acupuncture. I thought at the time it was a bunch of bull. SO I don't think it was the placebo effect. But three treatments and I was fine. -

I don't believe this kind of things. This is how your subconscious works like. In fact, you don't get better, you just think you get better. Anyway, this is also a way to make your life easier, but it is not correct to say that it is really working like that.
