Holding Google responsible for terrorists using its product makes about as much sense as blaming the Wright brothers for 9/11.

Blaming the tools used by terrorists is counter-productive and backwards thinking. It'd be the same as banning map quest because it was used to find directions to your neighborhood to burgle houses there.

there all for blaming something/someone else instead of the roots causes.
These people will hit where they can and an attack like that will deter people from visiting there.
A likely target might be the hotels which were built on the beaches where the Tsunami hit. why wasn't the area given back to the original people? Because capitalism exploited the situation...likely bribing enough people to get their way. More injustice in the name of the almighty dollar.

It makes about as much sense as blaming the crooks who robbed your house because they saw the neighborhood it was in.

Yeah, like there weren't any maps in the world before Google came along. Horse manure!

Google maps should be shut down totally! Having to go to a gas station and shell out 3 rupees for a map would have totally stopped them.

If they are going to hold google responsible..they ought to hold the crime shows on television or the news responsible too. I see the news tell people ways to do wrong things often...or how the officers figured it out so criminals will know how to do it better next time.
It's turned into a world of information at our fingertips..anyone can figure anything out now a days.
I'd be willing to bet that the people who did the crime walked through each building a few times before they actually did it, and knew every nook and cranny...something you can't see on google.

Since both the US and Indian governments are now saying that 10 or more terrorists escaped in the the Mumbai attack and are believed to be hiding in India planning the next wave of attacks, it's time for google earth to take down the maps of all of India until they are caught

If the US had looked at Google Earth perhaps they could have avoided bombing the Chinese Embassy in Damascus.

They must have the Deluxe Google Earth, because the low class Google Earth is about nine months behind on its images. If you can hold Google responsible, you might as well hold Smith-Wesson for all the inner city shootings. Any, and let me say it again, ANY product or produce can be used for terror attacks. Blame the Terrorists not the manufacturer or grower for their acts. I love Google Earth, although the images are outdated, but you can see the cities that you haven't visited in years have changed. Go GOOGLE ! ! !

Google has lots of money. I'm sure there are lawyers lined up trying to find a way to profit from this attack.

If you want to play the blame game, there are probably 1,000s of different people and things you can blame in every single situation.
Hell blame it on the cavemen who discovered fire.....the ball really got rolling then! oh yeah and the wheel, terrorists did use vehicles to get there didn't they? Why aren't they blaming it on computers? they used a computer to use Google Earth, right? blame electricity too....

It's a plot, I tell ya. This Blame-it-on-Google-Earth thing is a Karl Rove plot... to divert attention from the simple fact that it was George Bush's fault!

Kinda funny that hardly anyone here is able to blame the right people for this attack...
Here's my idea, how about we/they blame the TERRORISTS, or am I wrong about that!?
