Obama Haters Activated by Governor’s Indictment »
Posted By Spadecaller 11 months, 3 weeks ago in Political NewsThe indictment of Gov. Blagojevich of Illinois has energized a small but clamorous segment of Americans, who were waiting for their first opportunity to besmirch President elect Barack Obama. Routinely feeding into the frenzy of inquiries about Obama’s alleged associations with Illinois’ darker personalities has quickly become mainstream media’s latest boon. Perspective and prudence are not among the virtues of the media or those Americans who refuse to accept the presidency of Barack Obama for both inconspicuous and sundry reasons.
Lacking substantive evidence of unscrupulous conduct, the rumormongers must rely on peddling hypothetical stories about Obama’s so-called nefarious associations. The campaign slurs that most American’s had already rejected before his victory at the polls are being resurrected once again. How will they fare this time?

Naturally. As I said in a previous post, "Now is not the time to sit around a campfire and have S'mores and sing kumbaya". There are some very determined people in this country that want to bring severe discredit to this incoming administration. I wouldn't be surprised if there were calls for impeachment as this Presidency further matures. I think they're hoping to try to end it before Jan.20th even comes around.

I saw the first "Impeach Clinton" signs two days after the 1992 election - over two months before he was even inaugurated. I'm sure those same wingers already have their "Impeach Obama" signs ready to go. I'm also sure we can expect some millionaire wingnut will fund an "Illinois Project" analogous to the "Arkansas Project."

The Election of the Greatest Con-Man in Recent History
The entire political spectrum ranging from the ‘libertarian’ left, through the progressive editors of the Nation to the entire far right neo-con/Zionist war party and free market Berkeley/Chicago/Harvard academics, with a single voice, hailed the election of Barack Obama as a ‘historic moment’, a ‘turning point in American history and other such histrionics. For reasons completely foreign to the emotional ejaculations of his boosters, it is a historic moment: witness the abysmal gap between his ‘populist’ campaign demagoguery and his long-standing and deepening carnal relations with the most retrograde political figures, power brokers and billionaire real estate and financial backers.
What was evident from even a cursory analysis of his key campaign advisers and public commitments to Wall Street speculators, civilian militarists, zealous Zionists and corporate lawyers was hidden from the electorate, by Obama’s people friendly imagery and smooth, eloquent deliverance of a message of ‘hope’. He effectively gained the confidence, dollars and votes of tens of millions of voters by promising ‘change’ (implying higher taxes for the rich, ending the Iraq war and national health care reform) when in fact his campaign advisers (and subsequent strategic appointments) pointed to a continuation of the economic and military policies of the Bush Administration.
Within 3 weeks of his election he appointed all the political dregs who brought on the unending wars of the past two decades, the economic policy makers responsible for the financial crash and the deepening recession castigating tens of millions of Americans today and for the foreseeable future. We can affirm that the election of Obama does indeed mark a historic moment in American history: The victory of the greatest con man and his accomplices and backers in recent history.
He spoke to the workers and worked for their financial overlords.
He flashed his color to minorities while obliterating any mention of their socio-economic grievances.
He promised peace in the Middle East to the majority of young Americans and slavishly swears undying allegiance to the War Party of American Zionists serving a foreign colonial power (Israel). -

No problem. This is a very important issue. A shout out to all other politicians or their aides that may read this, every move you make is being carefully scrutinized. Cut the dirty politics as usual out. There is a long and vicious battle ahead and we need to show the American people that we are not like the Politicians of the past. If you fail we will lose everything that we gained. You will lose and we the people will lose as well.

Sorry, but there is proof ALL AROUND of Bush's lies.
Reply
Just for starters --
The 911 Commission report
TWO investigations by the REPUBLICAN-controlled Senate
TWO Pentagon reports
Various documented articles on how they lied about warrantless wiretapping
When you have a Republican-controlled Congress for 6 years, and for the next 2 the Democratic majority is so thin that everything they attempt to do is BLOCKED by the Republicans (over 70 Filibusters in less than 2 years), it is a wee bit difficult to hold ANYONE in the administration accountable.
No one here said that anyone should "turn a blind eye" to what the Illinois governor did. I, for one, have concluded that he is an IDIOT and is incompetent and needs to be held accountable.
The POINT is that people like YOU have "TURNED A BLIND EYE" to the law-breaking, constitution-violating, lying acts of Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld and Rice and Rove and all their cronies over the last eight years -

You are describing the liberal hatred of the Bush administration to a T. I totally agree with you. here is an example of that hate.
"The Bush administration has been breaking the law and lying to the American people for the last 8 years. But because it was Bush and Republicans, it was ok."
I do not hate Obama but I feel he does not have the experience for the job. Now the question is when, as Biden said, the big test comes what will he do. Will he step up to the plate or get a committee together to study the issue. This is the problem I had with all of those "present" votes. The president makes decisions and present is not an answer.

Swift-boating and negative campaign tricks finally took a beating because Americans became aware and disgusted with it.

The problem with what you say is you have the liberal blinders on. As I posted before the belief of the liberals is:
Reply
Anything Conservatives say is hateful.
Anything liberals say is simple truth.
I apply that to what you say about Bush-Rove-Gingrich. You talk about the slash and burn politics they have. That is applying your hatred of what they stand for to them. Swift boating is hateful. A group of people who served with Kerry feeling they had to set the record straight the way they remember it is evil and hateful.
But the Democrats saying that anybody who is against Obama is racist. Anybody who is against the liberal agenda is hateful and evil. The conservative talk radio is hate speech. Senator Schumer compared it to pornography.
You need to step back and look at how you frame your rhetoric. If conservatives want to adjust anything downward the liberals always bring out the class warfare statements and assign hatred as the reason for the wanted change. I remember a time under Clinton that the Republicans said that they needed to take a look at the lunch program since a lot of teachers kids were on it. The Democrat response was "Starve the Children." When the Republicans wanted to look at Social security and possibly add options to it the Democrat response was "Kill Social Security." In 2004 the Republicans wanted to look into the Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac the Democrats accused the regulator of coming in with lies in an attempt to take those institutions down. Well we know now that regulator was not lying.
Take your liberal blinders off. People on the right have just as much compassion for the poor as you do. The difference of opinion is how best to give them what they need. Some of the programs on the left have had a major negative impact on the population.
ADC for one. A simple look at it makes it look like a good thing. Reality of it has torn apart the fabric of the black poor. Until that law was passed with all the good intentions in the world and the poor blacks were a tight nit family way of life. The result has been rampant kids out of wedlock being a way of life for a segment of the population. To get out on their own all a girl has to do is get pregnant. In steps ADC and gives her an apartment and money. To get more money just have another kid. If a man lives there the money stops. We have generations of girls doing what their grandma did. The only adjustment to the law is limiting the number of kids they will pay for. Liberals never understand what people will do to get or keep money. If the law had been thought through to what would happen would it have been passed? Why is no correction to it being taken now? Is this result what liberals want?

The statement about all he would give is 'appreciation' may denote that something 'may' have been discussed between he and in the least the Obama Camp and the Gov didn't get the 'information/answer" he had hoped for.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything but if you sit back and actually think about things being said, it wouldn't be difficult to consider the notion that there was contact between the Gov and the Obama camp about this matter.

This incident has refueled the Obama hatemongers. Regardless of what Obama does, they will be unwavering in their quest to slander him, all the while, making excuses for Bush, Cheney, McCain and the likes of which has taken this country into the sewer.

With Obama being a Senator from Illinois, and Blagojevich being the governor, it's nonsense to say they had no connections, but that doesn't mean that Blagojevich made Obama privvy to his underhandedness, IF there was anything underhanded going on at all. Blagojevich hasn't been convicted yet. Isn't he innocent until proven guilty?

The ironic part of this mess in Illinois is that Barack's support of ethics reform was largely responsible for this all surfacing now.
Reply
In late summer the Illinois legislators passed an ethics reform bill that was then vetoed by Blagovich. When it came time to vote for an over-ride of the veto OBama contacted Emil Jones, an ally of Blago and opponent of the ethics bill, and tried to convince him to support the over-ride. The over-ride passed.
Blago immediately started a quiet campaign to extort more kick-backs from government contractors before the new law took effect. Someone pressured in the new campaign went to Fitzgerald with the info and Fitz then was able to get the wiretap warrant. They were wiretapping for pay-to-play evidence before the election and were surprised when the senate seat sale came up on the wire.
Apparently they had intended to seek more evidence on the kick-back scheme but the senate seat sale made it imperative to act quickly to prevent an appointment being made.
Thus it can be concluded that OBama's support of ethics reform was a catalyst in Blago's downfall. That makes Barack the good guy in my book.-

Most Americans who are genuinely interested in seeing the current financial crisis surmounted do not want to see an Obama administration hounded by witch hunters and malcontents. And most Americans, including mainstream conservatives, want to see their new President Elect Barack Obama unite the nation in its efforts to reclaim a government that has fallen from the prescripts of the constitution, which is supposed to define the conduct and character of this nation.
--------------------------------------------------...
What doe that tell you about the members on Propeller who are still referring to the President elect as Obama bin Laden and calling liberals Nazis?
It tells me that not only are they out of the loop, ignorant, bigoted, and contemptuous, they only pretend to be patriotic. Their real loyalties are to a small group of people, and not the nation as a whole.
I was impressed by Slate, a conservative, who said that Barack is my president now too and I will support him. That shows the difference between mainstream Republicans and the kooks like Lockey and Commodore. I may disagree with Slate and other conservatives, but we can agree to disagree respectfully without the name calling.
Commodore and Lockey need some serious rehab.-

Wow...there is a lot of 'nasty" being slapped down on this thread today. for those that continue to support Bush and his administration, you do your image a disservice. It has been proven Bush was wrong in most of the choices he made in his reign. The approval numbers I believe supports that statement and the state of country also qualifies it as well.
Reply
There has been so much negativity from the verbal minority before and after the election that it is almost comical. The search for mud that can stick to Obama has been endless it seems. Take this article for example.... did Obama try to sell the seat..No. even if he did talk to Blagojevich... so what. I don't believe Obama wanted a piece of the action. If the people wish the incoming President and his cabinet, to get down to business and solve some of the outstanding problems, then I believe they should not be cluttering the path to resolution of some of these issues.
In summary...FOCUS ON WHAT IS IMPORTANT! -

If our government, nation, and society crumbles, it will not be because of foreign forces or terrorism, it will be from the inside. It will be the result of Americans failing to unite and work together in facing the serious issues of energy, class warfare, religious tolerance, social justice, civil rights for all people, and economic fairness -- all of which we are struggling with presently.-
