    FTA

A footnote to the 76-page criminal complaint and affidavit charging Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) with soliciting bribes confirms what has long been rumored — that a former longtime friend and fundraiser for President-elect Barack Obama is talking to federal prosecutors in hopes of a reduced sentence.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko’s offer to provide authorities with evidence of others’ wrongdoing is “not complete,” and prosecutors are working to corroborate the claims he has made so far, the footnote said.

You do not get Federal wiretaps on a sitting Governor for no apparent reason.

Well, it isn’t exactly the Fitzmas the left was hoping for a while back. Then they expected special prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald to indict Karl Rove. Never happened of course. But now Fitzgerald has bagged an arguably bigger fish. Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich

I wouldn’t put much stock in at least one rumor that is already being floated on the left - that Rahm Emanuel ratted Blagojevich out to the feds. The feds already had the goods on Blagojevich - this was just the ax falling.

    Wait until Blago starts singing!
Between Rezko and Blago, they know where all of the bodies are buried in Chicago politics

Blago clearly gives politics a very bad name.

First of all, so far as I can tell, there's nothing in this article at all. (On the other hand, I guess that's why they call it "Hot Air" -- you know, you couldn't really come up with a better name for a completely fact-free blog.) There isn't even anything in the original, except for very strong statements that Obama is not involved.

FTHotAirA: It’s certainly possible that Rezko’s corruption didn’t involve Obama, but to assume it didn’t seems far too credulous by half, especially with the present example of Illinois politics before us now.

Right... because the entire US Justice System isn't based on the presumption of innocence. Have all of our right-wing poster children forgotten that?

Keep digging. Come one, you're only halfway to China, I'm sure just a few more feet down you'll hit pay dirt!
