Asthma is considered a chronic respiratory disease of the airways. Inflammation causes the airways to narrow causing asthma symptom that include cough, wheezing, and being breathless, sometimes even gasping for air. Inflammation causes the airways to become sensitive to things around them like cold air, exercise, dust mites, air pollution. Stress and anger, or anxiety has a big impact on asthma attacks. Inhaled allergens include: animal dander, coachroach allergens, fungi (molds), tobacco, household cleaner, perfumes, and seasonal flowers and trees.
