Thanks for the invite, RFE. I wonder how big those glasses were that Jefferson used for his "3 or 4 glasses" of wine with dinner.

  I've read accounts that indicate wine was served at dinner but there were various other alcoholic concoctions enjoyed after dinner as well. Beer was just food, and didn't count.
