I am wondering what happened to innocent until proven guilty.

I think federal wiretaps have already proven his guilt.

      He still must be convicted.

But if he gets off on a technicality, I don't think many will say he's "innocent."

I have not heard the wiretaps and I dont think a jury has either. In fact, I think the only ones that have heard the wiretaps are the DAs and the investigators. I think there is a rush to judgement here and wondering if the U.S. Constitution got dumped in a garbage can somewhere.

Given that I haven't heard about any libel or slander suits being filed against the respected newspapers that printed quotes released from the tapes, it might be fair to assume that those quotes were accurate. They are very incriminating by themselves.

There's always a rush to judgement in the court of public opinion! But luckily the courts which actually mete out legal penalties take their time and try to get it right.

I agree for the most part..however...
You can bet his lawyer will have some different ideas about what was meant by the phrase "worth something"
I think this guy is as dirty as they get, but I want to see him convicted in a courtroom before a bunch of equally dirty politicians start feeding on his carcass
