They can do all sorts of discriminatory things--plenty of churches refuse to even marry someone who is not a member of their church. Some individuals end up at a Justice of the Peace because they can't find a church that will marry then unless they go through a catechism, convert, and tithe.

Unitarians have always been open to gay unions, and have performed commitment ceremonies analogous to weddings where gay unions are not legally binding. I know of a few Unitarian ministers who have refused to marry anyone until everyone can be married.

      ROTFLMAO
Unitarians do not adhere to the idea that the Bible is the word of God. They say any way to God is OK. So don't try putting them in the same category of conservative Christians. (those who believe that the Bible is the word of God)

That is false. Unitarians decide for themselves what they think and believe about religion, and some are Bible-believing Christians, while others are Buddhists, agnostics, atheists, or about anything else. What they have in common is they affirm the worth and dignity of all people and the individual freedom and responsibility to make an informed choice about what to believe.

That is what I was saying in different words. The denomination does not adhere to the belief that the Bible is the word of God. That all paths to God are equal. Everything flows from there. So the denomination is not Christian although some of the members are.

"...all paths to God are equal."

The denomination itself does not have any creed or doctrine about whether a "God" or other deity or supernatural entity exists at all. So the idea of "paths to God" is meaningless in this context.
