Posted By ybdogsct 1 year ago in NewsSherry L. Johnston was arrested Thursday after troopers served a search warrant on a Wasilla home. The 42-year-old Johnston has been charged with six felony drug counts.
Johnston is the mother of 18-year-old Levi Johnston. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the GOP nominee for vice president, announced in September that her 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, was pregnant and Johnston was the father.

Of course, they didn't consider that it might be equally embarrassing to:
1) marry into a family headed by a drug addicted mother-in-law with an arrest record
2) marry a teenage husband who had admitted that he doesn't want to have Bristol Palin's children.

I seriously doubt that there'll be a wedding now! For starters, Levi didn't want to marry Bristol to begin with, and now this.. With Sarah Palin already blabbering about wanting to further her political career, possibly run for president!! She may as well can that idea! Not that she stood a chance to begin with.

It is the 'significance' of the story.
Sarah Palin and her family are supposed to be the Republican icons for fundamentalist Christianity and 'faith and values' and 'just say no' - you know, the moral pillars of our 'society'.
So, it is, at the least, ironic, that - after the 'indiscretion' of Levi and Bristol (violating that "abstinence only" rule) - that now Levi's mother may be of questionable 'morality'.
Also - if Sherry L. Johnston were associated in any way with Democrats, this story would be ALL OVER the media and there would be a big propeller story with LOTS of props and posts by the righties about how immoral and "liberal" those Dems are.

My daughter's husband's mother's brother drinks too much and encourages his underage children and their friends to drink during holiday celebrations (although I have no first-hand knowledge myself, but that's what a reliable witness told me).

The fact that her teenage daughter's baby's daddy's mom is a drug dealer (and that she was more than likely well aware of the fact -- let's be honest in that at least) might have some bearing on her running. I don't think she would put her daughter in the presence of a person using or dealing drugs. I don't care for Palin's poltics, but I do not doubt she loves her kids.
Also it is sad that Sarah's daughter has to take the garbage that is being thrown out there because of her mom's Political career.

The Repugnant Con party sent more than 20 lawyers and investigators to Alaska to investigate ALL connections. The FBI and State Dept. were also sent in crowds to do the same. You can be pretty well assured that her daughter's baby's daddy was thoroughly investigated and that Palin was aware of his momma's dealings. -

Well, actually, she did choose. She chose no-one, and therefore her daughter couldn't come to her and talk about potential decisions and partners. Her daughter couldn't come and talk to her about the strange emotions and hormones she was having, and couldn't talk to her about methods of birth control.

No I am not particularly concerned about this woman getting arrested, even if she is Palin's daughter's boyfriends mother. I didn't want Palin for VP, but what does this woman have to do with Palin's agenda. We never heard a word during the campaign about her and barely anything about the boyfriend.
