It's official! The IEA has set a date for July 1 & 2, 2009 for their first annual IEDay, a trade show targeting independent artists who are members of the Independent Entertainer's Association and April 4 & 5 is the date for the official IEDay kick-off party. These events are important networking opportunities for all those Independents, sponsors and businesses striving to get their ideas, talents and other interests out to a community who supports and honors them. IEA is an organization that brings Independent Artists together for networking, press & advertising purposes and for Independents to share their resources with one another in one convenient place.
IEDay is preparing to be the BEST convention for Independent Artists in the Nation, with an all-ages celebration and tradeshow set in the Las Vegas Convention Center on July 1 & 2. Las Vegas is the HUB of the entertainment and convention industry and thus the perfect place for Independents to gather together. There will be opportunities for artists to perform, display their work, enter to win prizes, market to their target audience and make their appearaces at numerous parties. The kick-off party will be on April 4 & 5 at the Henderson Ampitheater.
IEDay is looking for all kinds of participants. There are booth spaces, sponsor opportunities, vendor opportunities and Independents can attend the show to network with other Independent Artists. Independent businesses can also have a booth and offer their services to all these Independents as well. IEDay will be a one-stop-shop for everything to do with Independent Entertainment.
The IEDay movement and purpose behind it is gaining momentum. With a growing membership of almost 1000 Indies and their fans sporting car stickers and logos all over the city of Las Vegas and numerous requests for public appearances, the Independent Market is gaining momemtum to posess the lions share of the 930 Billion Dollar entertainment industry.
