Israeli archaeologists are having a particularly happy Hanukkah after discovering 264 ancient gold coins in a car park in the City of David, a Jerusalem National Park. One of the customs of the holiday is to give coins to children, and the archaeologists are referring to the 1,400 year-old coins as "Hanukkah money."

Wonderful find. Miracle? More likely intentional timing. Maybe they'll give it away to children? Or more likely they'll give the gold to Israeli children and cluster bombs to the Palestinian children.

          libsRfunny

The definition of a bigot is: "a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion."

The definition of a stereotype is: "A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image."

Some people on the left and right are bigoted against Jews. Being a Jew myself, I can attest to the fact that I have run into Jew haters from every political party, and we have them on Propeller too.

"liberals who, of course, accuse everyone else of being bigots."

Here is the epitome of hypocrisy and irony, libsRfunny. You stereotype liberals as being the group accusing "everyone else of being bigots." Has it slipped your mind that you just accused all liberals? That is, in fact, bigotry and false.

So in your short commentary on bigotry, you have exemplified bigotry and intolerance for liberals and have stereotyped them, as well.

Most of us, myself included, are individuals with leanings to both the left and to the right depending upon the issues involved. It is tempting and easy for each of us to be rash in judging others by using conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conceptions, opinions, and images of what we presume to think is a reflection of others. I recently had to apologize for making a similar mistake, if you recall.
