Singer, Actress Eartha Kitt Dead of Colon Cancer at Age 81 »

Eartha Kitt, a singer, dancer and actress who became famous for her "sex kitten" purr, has died of colon cancer, according to a family friend. She was 81.

One of her signature roles, though probably not one she aspired to, was as Catwoman on the campy 1960s Batman TV show.
