In reality too, this is one of the few remaining holiday destinations that has remained elusive to the hubbub of modern urbanization. It is a country comprising more than 1,192 small coral islands naturally grouped into 26 atolls. Of these only 200 or so are inhabited by locals and from among the rest, 96 have been developed into luxury resorts .
