Fascinating creatures. Seem to fly in water, walk upright on land, live in sub-zero weather, go for months without food, monogamous, the females gather the food, while the males care for the eggs and babies..

The one with the Polar Bear takes me back to "The Far Side", where the penguins are wondering why their friends are disappearing. I loved "The Far Side" back then. I'll never forget the first time I came upon my first Far Side book. I laughed myself to tears. No one seemed to think anything of it, probably because I was in Shakespeare's on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. Oh, it just struck me. Around that time IN that same book store, I came upon a comic book about Hiroshima that produced tears of the usual kind. My GOSH that was a sad "comic" book...because it was true.
