    He was funny.
Toward the end though, his act became very dark. And from his view of religion, it doesn't surprise me.
Hopefully, he found God before it was too late.

      When Carlin also said..........

“Haven’t we done enough. We’re so self-important. So self-important. Everybody’s gonna save something now. Save the trees. Save the bees. Save the whales. Save those snails. And the greatest arrogance of all, save the planet. What? Are these f'ing people kidding me? Save the planet? We don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet. We haven’t learned how to care for one another and we’re gonna save the f'ing planet? I’m getting tired of that ****e, tired of that ****e, tired. I’m tired of f'ing Earth Day. I’m tired of these self-righteous environmentalists. These white, bourgeois, liberals who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren’t enough bicycle paths. People trying to make the world safe for their Volvos. Besides, environmentalists don’t give a ****e about the planet, they don’t care about the planet. Not in the abstract they don’t. You know what they’re interested in? A clean place to live. Their own habitat. They’re worried some day in the future they might be personally inconvenienced.”

He was and is, right. I'll definitely miss him!

Carlin was a first class atheist, and made fun of atheists, liberals, and basically the entire human race, but he had a special bucked of liquid crap to pour into the vacuum that is the space between the ears of religious baby-jew worshipping arrogant inbred cousin humping tent revival morons who think there is a Charleton Heston invisible floating head awaiting their last breath to take them to the walmart in the sky.

He correctly identified these scum of the earth fools as the lowest form of life on the planet.

carlin ended up as an angry, bitter, ranting old man who stopped being funny a long time ago.

I didn't think Carlin was funny. He was just a god-less preacher good at exposing the obvious, is all. And, hey, the reason why that last bit of beacon in a package was so strange and weird was due to the way the machine cut the ham.

Carlin was similar to the late Sam Kinnison. They found the temptation easy to use profane or obscene language to make a few bucks. They probably wondered and were amazed at how easy it was to make a buck spewing that kind of stuff.

Howard Stern is another in the same mold. They appeal to pessimistic, lecherous, less intellectual angry people. It's tapping into the anger that makes them popular.

I'm glad I got to see Carlin perform in person. One of my favorite quotes of his is, "Some see the glass as half full, some see it as half empty. I see it as too big."
