"She sorts them not only by color but by size -- long or short, fat or skinny," says her mom, Megan, of Harmony Township, PA. "Sometimes she'll even take marker tops and put them on crayons of the matching color."
This grouping impulse is not only adorable, it's also an important developmental milestone, says Kyle Pruett, M.D., clinical professor of child psychiatry at Yale University.
