May being Lucky, I tried meth once long time ago and was quite disatisfied. It is a nasty dirty drug that leaves with no real high, but just a craving for more. Meth and crack heads are the dirtiest group of people you could ever meet. Though sometimes once in awhile you run into someone in the professional world hooked, but normally they are on their way down.

    What can I say, I was a product of my enviroment. I tried meth and crack, and I was lucky not to get addicted. If I had a choice of drugs to do, I would smoke pot from time to time and acid 2 or 3 times in my life. To this day I would rather deal with a pot head over a alchoholic. Never have I ever gotten into a fight with stoner that was stone, but you just bump ino a alchoholic and make them spill a little bit of their beer, and you are into the fight of your life. Unfortunately the drug that got me was cigarettes. I never tried heorine or PCP, but to me a pack of smokes was my daily heorine. I could have care less about beer, or weed, if I didnt have my Winstons on me, I was the meaniest nastiest person you ever met in your life. I finally was able to get off of those coffin nails 3 years ago. For those that read my profile, no cigarette smoking had nothing to do with my double lung transplant. Im just tell a story from my life experience. Crack, meth, and heorine addicts often steal from their family and friends and end up on the street most of the time. People that drink to much become violent and very aggressive towards everything. People that smoke to much people become lazy and dont do very much with their lives.

People do drugs for a break from stress or what ever it takes every time you talk to someone they are having a hard time. that's no excuse but what are you going to do?people are on their way down anyway

My stance against the drug war does not include meth. It has to be stopped. Education is key, the first priority in my opinion. Start young, bring in the addicts to show proof of what happens to you at an appropriate age, whatever it takes.

    No, not more of the same, and sadly I don't have an answer or suggestion other than education, as I posted. I understand the lunacy of the drug war as it's done today, it doesn't work. But this is one drug that a way has to be found to stop it. The money the nation would have at it's disposal if they stopped the war on even marijuana alone, we could fund massive educational programs. That may be a longer term solution, but it should also be the most effective.
    From reading your comments here, I have a good idea how you feel about stopping the madness. Out of curiosity and with respect, what kind of solutions have you considered to stop addiction to those drugs that are stealing lives?

Another reason to hate Meth.
You now have to get your heavy cold, flue and sinus medications over at the pharmacy and show I.D. and sign for it.
Once in awhile I mess with the pharmacist and ask for 100 boxes of Nightquil.

  100 boxes of Nightquil. Good one! I'm planning to get a Ralph's Grocery discount card in a "friends" name. Then purchase a dozen condoms and two bottles of Astro-Glide each day for a year. I figure some government agency will come knocking on his door with some fun questions for him.

  There's no way that's true. People in SE Asia use way more than americans, and they use it to work longer in sweatshops to make america's nikes and sportswear.

    Not always medication, or easing pain. Meth is more recreational than that in many cases, the same as alcohol. That parallel is closer than most believe. Many think they can just dabble socially, party all night, without knowing until it's too late it just isn't true. The mechanics of how meth works in the body, the permanent damage to the brain, is why it's more dangerous than alcohol, slightly. It takes total control of the body much faster than alcohol, as well. The damage done to families and society is the same, I would have to agree with you on that point.
