"I'm not a misogynist by any means, but I would be a bit unhappy about a female Doctor. It wouldn't prevent me from watching future seasons, but wouldn't feel right."

That's too bad. I think it'd be wonderful to see a woman in the role of the Doctor and see absolutely no conflict there. In fact, I could easily see Billie Piper in that role among others. The difficulty would be in finding her male counterpart -- an actor that could take on the companion role.
The male/female dynamic is great, but there's nothing in my mind that would prevent it from being the Doctor-Female/Companion-Male dynamic.
