I had to go with the Balloon Priest as the winner, my second place choice was the chemistry teacher who disposed of her chemicals down the sewer, and in third place, the guy who tried to stop the train from hitting his Porsche.

Many years ago I had a friend and her son move in with me for awhile when she learned of her husband's infidelities. I was in my room catching up on paperwork when I heard a door slam with such velocity it shook the entire house. I went downstairs and found her son in the bathroom kind of cringing, and I asked him what was going on. He turned his head around so I could see the "other ear" all red and swollen.
That little bugger and some of his friends had pierced his ear, he was all of maybe 14 or 15 years old, and it was obviously very infected. Dawn stayed in her room all night that night and told me the next day she had to because if she had seen him she would have killed him. (Of course, I didn't take that literally).
Anyway, k9kssr, I think I understand exactly what you just said....
