    Hi jov. Happy New Year...

"Involuntary recall allows the military, regardless of age or how long someone has been out of service, to order vets back into active duty."

    Hello... INSANITY!

He was a civilian, not reserves? Complete discharge 15 years ago? I didn't know they could do that?

I'd like to know who this guy voted for in 2004. It would be really funny if he voted for Bush.

I'd like to know if he voted for Bush in 2004. That would be poetic justice.

We have a friend who is 48 that will be going back as well. It shows how desperate the military is these days. I think GWB should be on the front line as well. And hell, Cheney isn't too old by these standards either!

YOU'RE TOO OLD... I think they didn't want to commit to paying him a retirement...

Wars are typically begun by the old and rich, and fought by the young and poor. Apparently, this century's wars are purely classist and non-ageist.

right. Bush sits in the Oval Office dreaming up this stuff.

you don't think that maybe.... just maybe.... somebody screwed up in the bowels of the pentagon... or maybe, just maybe, he has a particular MOS that's tough to replace...

yet you liberal hyenas have to bay at Bush.

folks. let your hate go. try to heal.

A 54 year old reservist co-worker from where my wife worked was put on the front line and killed.

I guess the 17 year-olds must be wising up...

Too bad Saddam was no threat to us and we let the Taliban reclaim Afghanistan...

                  Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
                  Evil minds that plot destruction,
                  sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
                  Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds...Oh lord yeah!

                  Politicians hide themselves away
                  They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
                  Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait `till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning,
as you hear the bodies burning.
No more war pigs of the power,
hand of god has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, god is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
                  Begging mercy for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings...Oh lord, yeah!

Sorry I am so late Jovial. :(

                      This is obscene.

There is no excuse for calling the man back to Active Duty...They could ask him to Volunteer but they have no right to make him go back. That's indentured servitude...damn near slavery considering he already did his time.

He served his contract...Period. It's becoming apparent that they are trying their damnedest to avoid a draft. That's how they have managed to keep the public from getting involved in the War.

I don't care what the little rulebook the DOD wrote says. Either it's an ALL Volunteer Military or they bring back the draft.

This is what happens when you start unjust wars ...the Brave fight and die for Nothing.

Sorry about going off ...but this is just wrong.
