Could be he's that good of a soldier....maybe he's needed to give raw recruits the benefit of his experience in wartime affairs. Who knows what this screwy administration is up to nowadays? I mean 50 is rather long in the tooth to say the least! Hopefully he won't have to see combat again poor guy...

The more I watch current events in this country, the more it resembles Russia on the brink. I'm waiting for the day the USA folds, like the USSR did--no real money, no real government, nothing. The USSR dissolved in a day, and so can the USA. I mean, why does this scenario seem so plausible?

Too bad Saddam was no threat to us and we let the Taliban reclaim Afghanistan...

If Dumbyah's daddy: George H. Bush had taken care of Saddam Hussein in the Gulf war as Gen.Norman Schwarzkopf had advised him to in the first place, we wouldn't have the fatal present day casualties now! Half-assed, and half-a-brain!

This 50 yr old wouldn't even have to go!
Like father, like son go figure! Sadaam wasn't responsible for the 911 tradgedy, "Osucky Ba-loney" was, and where is OBL btw???

Generals gathered in their masses,
Reply
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds...Oh lord yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait `till their judgement day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness, world stops turning,
as you hear the bodies burning.
No more war pigs of the power,
hand of god has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, god is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercy for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings...Oh lord, yeah! -

Sorry I am so late Jovial. :(

This is obscene.
There is no excuse for calling the man back to Active Duty...They could ask him to Volunteer but they have no right to make him go back. That's indentured servitude...damn near slavery considering he already did his time.
He served his contract...Period. It's becoming apparent that they are trying their damnedest to avoid a draft. That's how they have managed to keep the public from getting involved in the War.
I don't care what the little rulebook the DOD wrote says. Either it's an ALL Volunteer Military or they bring back the draft.
This is what happens when you start unjust wars ...the Brave fight and die for Nothing.
Sorry about going off ...but this is just wrong.-

" they bring back the draft."

I said that before the election in reference to women being drafted, and took some heat. I asked then, why was the issue being floated unless they were thinking of reinstating the draft? This is another article that gives me the reason to think this could be on the table. Stop loss, floating our 18 year old girls registering, 50+ yr olds being redeployed ater a decade+ since seperation.
What do you think is next after they run out of the older, experienced warriors?
