The problem is that the Christians are so far behind the Muslims that there is no comparison. Muhammad started it with his wars. In Medina he defeated three Jewish tribes after he made a treaty of non aggression with them. He kicked the first two out with what they could carry and beheaded all the man and made slaves of the women and children of the third. He claimed a lions share of all booty his soldiers got. He used that wealth to pay his army and buy weapons for them. He had another treaty with Mecca and in the second year of a 10 year treaty he rode up in front of the city with an army of 10,000 and it was convert or be attacked. He then did the same throughout the rest of Arabia after he issued an ultimatum to all Jews and Christians to leave or die.

After he died Islam conquered from the Atlantic to the Pacific through India and Indonesia. North through Spain stopped at the Battle of Tours in France. North through the Byzantine Empire and stopped outside Vienna. They were very bloody in their conquests. The more people the soldiers killed the more booty they were able to get. Only people of the book did not get the convert or die but they had on and off vicious attacks on them from the Muslims and were a third class citizen. One step above a slave.

Their avowed aim is to conquer the world and put it under Sharia law. That is part of their religion. Christianity tries to conquer the world by word of mouth spreading the Gospel. A Christian martyr is one who dies rather than betray their belief. A Muslim martyr is one who dies in battle killing the enemy. That sums up a major difference.
