Humans are (distantly) descended from a fish that was able to escape some of it's competition and predation by escaping the water. By coming out of the water it got more food and was able to escape all the bigger fish....

Conservative Christians have not evolved beyond the fish. Note the Symbol of a fish they display everywhere for our viewing enjoyment.

I think the symbol of the large toothed "Christian" fish eating the walking "Darwin" fish is more telling of Fundamentalist philosophy...

"If you DARE to grow legs, we EAT you!"

Technically speaking, humans didn't evolve from monkeys. New World monkeys and apes (including man) share a common ancestor.

          Exactly.

The evidence shows we both branched off from small, five-fingered, big eyed tree lemurs.

So the whole conservative cry of "My grandparents didn't come from gorillas!" is actually accurate, but doesn't accurately reflect the theory of evolution.

            ROTFLMAO
There is no proof that evolution is fact.

Evolution is a fact in that species have been demonstrated to change over time, even humans. The THEORY of evolution is what is under examination now. BTW, NO science is PROVEN, except for mathematics.

I'm not even sure of mathematics. Someone once showed me an algebraic formula that proved that 1=2. I guess that's why they call them theorems.
yes evolution is a theory, and if it is ever proven false the scientific community will scrap it. that's the beauty of science. someone comes up with an idea, test it then test it again and again. They then present it and ask anyone to find flaws in it. Religion is the opposite. Never question god, just believe.

Or did monkeys evolve from man? In the Monkey Chronicles there is ample evidence to this fact. lol.

Nonsense, humans were created, along with the entire universe from flatulence excaping from the gaping rectal orifice of the baby jew jesus, exactly 5000 years ago. Anyone who doesn't believe this will never get an eternal walmart credit card to decorate their invisible doublewide in the sky.

I tend to believe we are more closely related to the pig than the monkey. we get the same diseases. We have the same digestive system. Our skin is similar. And for those of you with an odd bent.. We taste roughly the same.

It may be disturbing. I found this out in a book a very long time ago. Then i decided to some more reading on this subject. No, I never did the taste test. I am a strict vegetarian. I therefore don't need to revert to kosher law, Even though I do support it.

Monkeys? MONKEYS!?! Hey, when we get old, it looks more like we evolved from turtles, buzzards, and featherless turkeys, it seems.
