    To this list offered by the article's author, I would add The Birdcage. It was a remarkably well-done take on La Cage aux Folles. It prevailed as a film by combining the understated talents of Gene Hackman and Dianne Wiest with two powerful performers in Nathan Lane and Robin Williams. It definitely should be included in anyone's list of great GLBT-themed movies.
