There are plenty of israelis who would welcome Obama speaking out against the crimes of the zionists.
Why Israeli Anti-Zionists do not recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist as a Jewish state
In recent times, the demand has been raised, by representatives of the State of Israel, and by its supporters abroad, to recognize the State of Israel’s “right to exist as a Jewish state”. I am told that this demand is a debater's trick that was invented by Henry Kissinger several years ago. Be that as it may, what, if anything, is wrong with this demand? ....
.... Anti-Zionist Israelis fight to reverse, to overturn, those three essential features of the State of Israel.
...So, there can be no “right to exist” of the State of Israel as a “Jewish state”, whether we are referring to the dominance of a religious group or of an ethnic group. Add to that the fact that the State of Israel is the main engine of anti-Semitism in the world today, as Lord Montagu predicted in 1917.
And that is why anti-Zionist Israelis do NOT “recognize the right of the State of Israel to exist as a Jewish State”.

I agree, Obama should say nothing now or ever. That would be CHANGE! Most president elects get involved right from the get go. But not our Obama, he's much to cool for that!
OK, now you can call me all kinds of nasty names please...don't forget to give me NEGS too!(comment_max_expanded_depth : 55) (comment depth : 4) (recursion depth : 2) (max_comment_reply_depth : 40) (comment_max_render_depth : 55)Reply

Israel is ignoring France's attempt at peace talks. Are they waiting for a higher dollar figure to come from the USA before they'll consider it? The US needs to get out and stop paying ransom to Israel. We've mucked things up enough in the Middle East.

I think we arm Israel and let them go nuts. I'm so tired of hearing about an area the size of Long Island and how they're oppressing a bunch of terrorists in training. This whole region was mucked up by the UN. Why are we not asking Russia, China, Iran and Syria to take back their weapons? Some have been arming this region even before Israel existed.
Instead of paying for peace, let's simply arm the IDF and let them have at it.(comment_max_expanded_depth : 55) (comment depth : 5) (recursion depth : 3) (max_comment_reply_depth : 40) (comment_max_render_depth : 55)Reply

"Obama is doing the right thing. He is not president. The Congress with whom he will deal hasn't been sworn in. There is nothing Obama can do at this point in time, and his silence is appropriate."
he wasted no time speaking out about mumbai, but when it comes to gaza?

He wouldn't have spoken out about the mumbai attack if no Jews would have died. These attacks happen in India all the time (though not such a large scale one, but smaller ones). But, point is, as far as I can remember no US President has ever spoken out about attacks like that happening in India.(comment_max_expanded_depth : 55) (comment depth : 5) (recursion depth : 3) (max_comment_reply_depth : 40) (comment_max_render_depth : 55)Reply

good point explaining why he did speak out about mumbai
as for this..... speak out against israel, speak out against the palestinians or don't speak out at all. any which way he loses. but at the same time, this is a seriously defining presidential moment, even for a president elect, and it will cast a hue across the entirety of his presidency. it will also determine how receptive the middle east will be to anything he has to say or do from here on in.
it looks like this is just another little bonus israel has factored into the timing of this assault.(comment_max_expanded_depth : 55) (comment depth : 6) (recursion depth : 4) (max_comment_reply_depth : 40) (comment_max_render_depth : 55)Reply

"as far as I can remember"
Well I guess that's the problem. You don't, can't or won't remember the Pakistani attacks on the Indian Parliament. Or the Muslim terrorist attacks on the India embassy in Afghanistan.

Oh hello crghss...
Let me repeat what I wrote: "But, point is, as far as I can remember no US President has ever spoken out about attacks like that happening in India."
You took the words "As far as I can remember" and interpreted them into something different. Why did you do that?(comment_max_expanded_depth : 55) (comment depth : 7) (recursion depth : 5) (max_comment_reply_depth : 40) (comment_max_render_depth : 55)Reply

Hey Einstein. The sitting U.S. President DID strongly speak out against both of these attacks PLUS many other attacks in Kashmir.
