My Mother and Father in law grew up during the depression which I didn't know at the time or even really understand what depression life was like, they were very wealthy when I knew them. Yet..still, I went there one day for lunch, went to put mustard on my sandwich and this yellow WATER came pouring out. I was pretty young and was like WTF??? and thought what frugal people they were. These very wealthy people getting every last drop, the ketchup was like that as well.
I guess sometimes people need to experience things for themselves, but they also need to know how things were and how they can become.
