    Similiar experience here. I have the worst asthma ever, so when Illinois made smoking in public illegal, it was like an entirely new world in which I didn't wind up at the hospital every time I went to play poker, or went to tie one on.

    I DO feel bad however, that it seems to ostracize smokers. It's one of those things where yes, it benefits me, but smokers have rights too. Then again you can argue that their right to smoke ends as soon as it messes with my right to breathe (Same logic: your right to throw a punch ends when it ends my right not to get hit in the face).

    I try not to judge people for smoking, but ultimately I DO wish the people in my life that do would quit...I want them to be around so I can torment them for many many years.
