When in college one of my psychology professors said smoking was more addictive than cocaine or heroin and more difficult to give up. Don't have anything to back that up, just made a big impression on me and I remember it to this day. What I question is this......lots of intensive, in-house rehab programs for those drugs, but none that I know of for tobacco. If people want us to quit so bad, HELP us!

It takes a huge amount of will power to stop smoking for good......I've given it up about 3 times, but have gone back after a few weeks to a few months. Non=smokers just don't realize how difficult it is to quit or even make the decision to quit.
I'm about to go back on Chantix, which is what I used last time I quit. It really is helpful in reducing the cravings.
