Are they 'rights' or just promises? One might argue that 'rights' belong to those who control the military and police (it's all military these days; all cops are para-military SWAT).

Unfortunately, rebellion has been bred out of the average American, and there are not enough above-average ones to make any difference. Who do you think will eventually fill those prisons being constructed in the M.E.? Still, I hate to see the USA go down without a fight.

Yeah...it's for real. A complete end run around the fourth amendment by expanding border search policy to include anywhere they say.

The courts have long held that the Border Patrol could conduct a search at the borders...soooo, DHS cooked this up... http://vlex.com/vid/19608292 ...effectively gutting the 4th Amendment in the process for anyone in those areas.
If you live in one of those areas...they can pull you over to question and search you just for the hell of it. The way it's written they could do it anywhere they want. An "Agent" just has to be of the "opinion" that it was necessary.

My advice is: Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out! There are a lot of folks looking for second citizenship or even expatriation. Here is a good article: Second Passports - How, Where and Why: http://www.panamalaw.org/second_passports.html

What garbage to call it constitution free zone. Horse puckey. This is because to the sieve the border to Mexico is. There are areas where they can travel about 100 miles inland before they can come under the scrutiny of the border patrol. Many of them die in these areas they are so nasty. Of course the congress only knows how to do a one size fits all law.

The entire states of both Florida and Michigan have nothing to do with the Mexican border. Down here they have had random traffic checkpoints, they excuse them by saying they are 'cracking down' on DUI drivers. They set up in such a way that you can not turn off, and if you turn around that gives them probable cause to chase you down. Now they are talking about vehicle saftey inspections. Randomly pull you over and check your brakes and tires.

So you are telling us that the Border Patrol is harassing citizens in upstate New York and Washington state because of all the Mexicans crossing over ?

It's a violation of the Fourth Amendment... that makes it unconstitutional and illegal.
Why are you always an apologist for totalitarian acts committed by the government Endo?
You consistently chime in about how no one is losing any freedom when the evidence of unlawful police action is staring you straight in the face. Every single time the subject comes up here on Propeller you go into complete denial of there being any wrong doing by whatever entity performed the action.
Even when completely innocent people have been rousted out in paramilitary style raids by jackbooted thugs, hoodwinked and force to sit naked in the floor while their homes were destroyed...no matter how ridiculous, wrong or illegal the action is...there you are...cheering it on.
What is it you think you will gain from America becoming a Police State?

This is funny, like it's something new. Can't tell you how many times I've been pulled over for some minor crap, and then asked if I wouldn't mind my car being searched, of course if you say "no" they call another cop with a dog, if the dog acts funny, then they search. Also here in Tx, they do blood test on suspected DUI before you ever get a chance to see a lawyer.

A valid constitution should cover everything to happen in the whole country, borders inclusive, and need no exceptions or annexes! I wouldn´t like to live in an area, where my constitutional rights are not granted. Isn´t Guantanamo such a zone? And haven´t we learned that where constitutional rights are taken away, human rights will follow?

True...but the Constitution is only valid if you apply it.

As a contract between the government and the people, we the people are at a disadvantage when the Supreme Court is stacked by 'company' lawyers. It could be noted that it takes much sacrifice of time, money, and other resources for the common man or woman to get their case heard.
Maybe I just taste sour grapes, but it seems the system is out of balance.
At the very beginning Congress conspired to keep slavery and it's attending arguments out of the public's view, thus stalling any action by the court. The issue was 'too hot to handle' at the time (they surmised), and the result was both sides became entrenched and the "peculiar institution" was allowed to grow. We know the result of their failure to act.
What will be the result of ours?

Has covered a story simular to that in Texas.
Alex Jones did the story on the HWY patrol putting up random check points searching without warrant peoples cars.
I exsperienced being pulled over twice in my Motorhome coming through the tole fee station in Oklahoma and then again a few miles past the secound toll fee station in Missouri.
Both claim I was driving irratic.
Which was I know was B.S.
Cause I know I wasn't driving irratic.
I moved over once to get into the right lane cause I didn't have one of their prepaid passes.
Didn't cut anyone off.
They used the same excuse the secound time too.
